The explanation that may explain my discovery is that South America and North America were already connected, as if they were a single territory.

Explanation:

As you may already know, all continents were already connected one day, forming what is known as pangeia. This explanation that all continents were connected also states that South America and North America have already been connected. Because of this, some members of the Camelidae family may have moved from South America to North America and died and fossilized there.
