How to determine how long a fragment that's gone through PCR would be

    You can conduct gel electrophoresis with a standard DNA ladder. The length of PCR fragment could be estimated by comparison with the standard DNA ladder. Alternatively, you can carry out DNA sequencing to obtain the exact sequence and hence number of base pairs in the PCR fragment although this will not be a good proxy for the length of fragment as well as PCR.
