A hormone imbalance may cause a man to develop certain female secondary sex characteristics. Gynecomastia is a condition in men where their breasts swell and become abnormally large. A low level of which hormone would cause this condition?

    Gynecomastia is a hormonal imbalance sometimes found in men. It is caused by a high level of the estrogen hormone. Estrogen is a hormone that is usually higher in women but when it is too high in men it ca cause issues such as gynecomastia.
