    The nurse can expect severe withdrawal symptoms and weight loss as a symptom of a regular cocaine user. When assessing the client, she/he should looks for signs of agitation, high tolerance to pain medication, and possible malnutrition. They clients should then be monitored while they are experiencing their withdrawal symptoms. While a client cannot die from these symptoms, they can be severe and painful. The nurse should attempt to limit these symptoms as much as possible to decrease the chance of a relapse or more agitation than necessary.
