    Ovine The species of animal is home to a process that will eventually turn sebum into lanolin is the ovine family. Ovines are generally something referring to sheep so this would be sheep. Lanolin, often called wool wax, is a wax that is secreted from the sebaceous glands of wool-bearing animals.
