Because of human-induced instability of surface water, groundwater is important for future water supply security. groundwater aquifers are replenished slowly, and human demands often exceed the natural recharge. what water consumption demand does the exceeding population growth put on future water resources?

    Due to the very high demand of water, the pressure placed on water is even higher than that on land. The importance of freshwater is increasing at an exponential rate, as the population of the world does. Moreover, the gap between supply and demanding is only increasing by the contamination of freshwater sources such as aquifers.
