    Answer: cellular differentiation

    Differentiation is the process in which cells specialize and becomes capable to do certain functions. This process occurs a lot in the the development of a multicellular organism. As the organism changes from a zygote with stem cells to a differentiated tissues (skin, muscle, neurons).
