    The activity that an individual is having when an fMRI can had showed an activity in the cingulate cortex, a region of the brain in which is active is when the individual is going through depression in which is a major depressive disorder that makes a person feel loss of interest when doing his or her daily activities or that he or she has an overwhelming feeling of sadness.
