The human genome contains about 25,000 genes and yet produces about 100,000 different polypeptides. propose an explanation of how this is possible.

    The human genome can produce more polypeptides because there can be many different combinations of amino acids to produce the polypeptides. A polypeptide is a chain of amino acids. Therefore, a polypeptide is related to, but different from a gene.
