The melatonin hormone is responsible for the Jasmine's experiences of the jet lag. Jet lag is a type of the sleeping disorder which is temporary and is caused as a result of travelling in different time zones. The circadian rhythm of the body is disturbed. The body of a person secrets melatonin in the night, thereby inducing sleep, and its amount decreases in the day. This internal clock is disturbed causing jet lag after a long flight.

    Hence, the answer is 'melatonin'.
