Primers are short sequences that allow the initiation of DNA synthesis.

    Explanation:

DNA synthesis is the process where a DNA molecule create or form another new copy of DNA. I. e when adenine, thymine, cytosine and guanine are join together to form DNA.

DNA synthesis start at a specific place on the chromosome. One daughter strand is initiated at the origin of the parental strand and another is initiated at the opposite origin. The requirements for DNA synthesis are substrates, templates, enzymes and primer.

The enzymes that synthesis DNA, DNA polymerase can add nucleotides to primer of DNA or RNA that is based paired with the DNA because of it's short sequence.
