    (A) Over exploitation

    (B) Green house gases and Climate change

    (C) Pollution

    (D) Introduction of alien species

    (E) All of these.

The correct answer is (E) All of these.

Biodiversity refers to the variety of plant and animal species of a particular region. A major threat to the biodiversity has been posed by the human activities. They include the over exploitation of trees for commercial purpose, over-fishing and others. Green house gases and Climate change is a result of human activity. It is due to the increased use of fossil fuels emitting green house gases and causing climate change due to global warming. This affects the plants and mainly the animals as they have a optimum temperature especially the animals of polar region. This has also led to pollution of air, water and soil disturbing the flora and fauna of those habitats. Introduction of alien species for commercial or research purpose also has led to the disturbance in the biodiversity.
