    All the daughter cells will have the recessive allele if the individual is homozygous for the allele. This is because during Meiosis I of meiosis the ploidy of the cell is halved. Each chromosome of the homologous chromosome pair goes to each of the two formed cell each carrying with it an allele of the respective gene. During meiosis II (also mitosis) each of the two cells divides to two cell (making a total of four daughter cells in the end).
