Consumers are living things that do not make their own food. For example, we as humans do not produce food but instead eat other organisms.
However producers are living things that DO produce their own food. For example, plants go through a process of photosynthesis to make a type of sugar called glucose.

This is called a secondary consumer, and they are usually not plantalia.
