    Explanation:

    The ILEUM is the third and final part of the small intestine, that is, it is the final section of the small intestine. The importance of ILEUM include; the absorption of bile salts, the absorbtion of vitamin B12 and other digestion products not absorbed by the jejunum.

    The ileum has more fat inside the mesentery than the jejunum. Also, ILEUM has a large surface area absorption of digestion products and also, for enzyme molecules adsorption.

    The wall of ileum is made up of folds, each folds has many tiny finger-like projections known as villi. The villi in turn contains a lot of capillaries that take the amino acids and glucose digested to the liver.
