    The answer is false.

    Protons and electrons are the components of an atom. Protons (p+) are postively charged and together with neutrons (neutral) are in the center of the atom, making up the nucleus. Electrons (e-) surround the nucleus and they have negative charge. Since opposite charges attract, p + and e - attract each other.
