Chordates are animals that have notochord to give firmness and flexibility to the body and its nervous system is hollow and runs the spine from head to tail. The control of its temperature is divided into poikilotherms, which are the ones that have the temperature of its body approximately equal to the one of the environment. These animals must live in environments where the temperature changes little like water. Homeotherms are animals that have the ability to maintain the internal temperature of their body relatively constant regardless of the temperature in the environment. Their important function is that they maintain the body's control of the temperature to adapt to the environment in which they are and to be able to maintain their activity and movement of normal form.
