The central nervous system (CNS) contains a number of components that perform specific functions within the body. Some functions, such as breathing, swallowing, and blood circulation, are involuntary, or done without conscious control. Which part of the CNS is responsible for these functions?

    The answer would be D - the brain stem. The brain stem is in charge of all these functions such as breathing, swallowing, etc.
