Jacob recently suffered a serious head injury in a car accident. He now has trouble remembering his life before the injury. What part of Jacob's brain may have been injured in the accident?

    The correct answer is the hippocampus. This is the place responsible for short-term memory and is usually the first one attacked by the Alzheimer's disease. If you injure it, you can lose your short-term memory but you can still keep your long term memory meaning you might not know where you are but you'll know things like how to write.
