What can happen if there is a mutation to the zygote?

    Depends on which gene was mutated. If it was a non vital or structural protein then the child will be physiologically normal and/or with physical defects.

    If it was a vital protein such as hemoglobin then the zygote will probably not be able to grow into a child.
