Why do our faces get hot when you're embarassed?

Warmth causes blood vessels to dilate, which causes more blood to near the surface of the skin. When the body is warm, more blood is able to near the surface of the skin making the skin feel warm and look red. A hot environment is a common cause of blushing, flushing, and having skin turn red.
