The central nervous system or CNS is the processing center of the whole nervous system is made up of the brain and the spinal cord. The Brain receives sensory information from the spinal cord and processes it and also interprets it then sends it back to the spinal cord to be relayed to the requisite part of the body. The spinal cord has ascending nerves which relay information from the body to the brain, and descending nerves which transmit sensory information from the brain to the body.
