    Answer: The importance of the organization of spindle fibers during cell division is to divide the genetic material in the cell.

    Explanation: The spindles align the chromosomes in center of the cell and move them to the opposite ends of the spindle so that there will be equal distribution of the chromosomes in the parent cell into two daughter cells so that the two daughter cells can be identical. This occurs both in mitosis and meiosis.
