The excision of the gland is Adenectomy (Aden means "gland" and ectomy means "surgical removal"). Removal of plaque (lipids and clots) that accumulate in the lining of an artery. Endarterectomy is a surgery to get rid of the adipose tissue plaque material, or blockage, within the lining of associate degree artery constricted by the buildup of deposits. it's administered by separating the plaque from the blood vessel wall. So, don't get confused with both the terms.
