Green beetles are a favorite treat of the blackbird. They live on the green foliage in a local temperate forest. Unfortunately, drought has caused most of the trees to die out in the leaves to turn brown. How can this environmental change impact the population of the green beetle?

    The change in color of the foliage can lead to a decrease in numbers of the green beetles. With the color of the leaves changed the beetles are unable to blend in and hide from the blackbird, making them vulnerable to their attacks.
