    The flow of blood in the heart is as follows:

    The systemic veins bring the deoxygenated blood from the body to the right atrium of the heart. From the right atrium the blood flows into right ventricle through the tricuspid valve. The blood then moves into the right ventricle from where it is pumped into the pulmonary arteries that take the blood to the lungs. After the blood loads with oxygen in the lungs the pulmonary vein takes up the blood and pumps it into the left atrium through pulmonary valve. Next, the blood moves into the right ventricle. From the left ventricle it is pumped into the main systemic artery or the aorta.
