    It is based on evidence obtained after several investigations.

    Explanation; A scientific theory is an explanation that is supported by a large amount of evidence. Evidences are results collected when a theory or hypothesis is being tested. Scientific evidence serves to either support or counter a scientific theory or hypothesis. The theory of evolution just like any other theory must have been testable and its results observable for it to be considered viable. Therefore; the theory of evolution was validated after scientists completed several investigations to gather evidence. It was proposed after current evidences were investigated several times.
