Yeast cells are eukaryotic and modify proteins similarly to human cells

    Explanation:

Bacterial cells are prokaryotic and are different in structure to human cells, thus the way in which they metabolize and express proteins will be different. Yeast cells are similar to human cells and diploids can be made from yeast. Yeast cells are eukaryotic and thus have mostly the same cell machinery and structure that human cells have and this is a more accurate vector to test expression of human proteins.
