    Adipose tissue is a connective tissue specialized in lipid storage. Its ability to store lipids depends on its cells, adipocytes, which can contain large drops of fat in your cytoplasm. The fat in the cells is in a semi-liquid state and is mainly composed of triglycerides. All our organs and tissues contain different levels of water, adipose tissue has approximately 10% of water. The brain and muscles are approximately 75% water, the blood and kidneys consist of 81% water.
