    These signs and symptoms tell us that the pre-term newborn has intraventricular hemorrhage which is also known as IVH or intraventricular bleeding. In short, this means that blood is seeping into the ventricular system of the brain. In some cases, intraventricular blood can result in the formation of a clot.
