Mosquitoes start as eggs and then hatch into larvae within 24-48 hours. After 7-10 days the larvae turn into pupae, finally after 1-4 days in the pupa stage the mosquito become an adult. Grasshoppers hatch from eggs after 2 weeks to become nymphs. The nymph stage lasts 4-7 weeks, during which molting occurs. The final stage in a grasshopper's life cycle is adulthood.
