A metamorphic rock can form when rock comes in contact with lava or magma. Do you think the rock gets hot enough to melt? Why or why not?

    Yes, the rock does become hot enough to melt. The rock melts down to form igneous rock! How amazing is the rock cycle?

    Yes. The rock actually melts and forms into magma, and when the lava cools it hardens to form an igneous rock!
