What type of biological macromolecules make up "Gene 1"? Remember there are four types: Proteins, Nucleic Acids, Carbohydrates, and Lipids. Justify your answer. (Hint: You may want to reference chapter 17 in our book).

    Answer: Proteins make up Gene 1.

    Explanation:

    Biological macromolecules are large polymers that comprises of smaller units called monomers which are linked by bond thereby forming structures like protein, DNA or RNA, carbohydrates, lipids.

    Amino acids are linked together to form polypeptide chain and protein is composed of one or more polypeptide chain.

    Genes code for proteins. Along the DNA strand is genes which have specific regions whose sequence carry genetic code for making protein.
