Vitamin D can be obtained from vitamin D rich foods and the sun.

Deficiency can cause diseases like rickets in children and bone related issues in adults.

    Explanation:

Vitamin D is also called as "the sunshine vitamin". It is called so because the sun is one of the most important sources of Vitamin D. The skin of the human body has a cholesterol type, which becomes vitamin D once the skin is exposed to the sun, the UV-B radiation of the sun. Vitamin D can also be obtained from vitamin D rich foods like fatty fish, some dairy products, egg yolk, beef liver, cheese, etc. If people do not get enough vitamin D or if they have deficiency, it can reduce the density of the bones and lead to many issues like fractures. It can also cause diseases like rickets in children. It is one of the rare diseases that cause bones to be soft.
