    The process that produces fuel for motor vehicles from living plant products is alcoholic fermentation. The waste product of this process is carbon dioxide. The fuel for vehicles is called e thanol fuel. The s ugar from plant material which is converted into ethanol and carbon dioxide by fermentation. Ethanol fuel is ethyl alcohol, the same type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages, used as fuel.
