Consider a population of fish in which two stripe patterns are observed, a single stripe or no stripes. A single stripe, S, is dominant to no stripes, s. After monitoring this population closely for 10 generations, it is determined that the allele frequency for S is 0.75 and the allele frequency for s is 0.25 and it has not changed within the observation period. If you assume that Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium estalished, indicate the expected frequency of each genotype based on the equation for Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.

The equation for Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium states that at a locus with two alleles, as in this flower population, the three genotypes will occur in specific proportions:

p^2 + 2pq + q^2 = 1

Required:

a. What is the genotype frequency for SS fish?

b. What is the genotype frequency for Ss fish?

c. What is the genotype frequency for ss fish?

    Q*1 P * 0.15 Q=0.25

    SS frecuency = 0.15*0.15=0.5625

    Ss frecuency = 0.15*0.25 = 0.1515

    ss frecuency = 0.25 * 0.25=0.0625
