If two elements are in the same chemical family, then what can be predicted about their spectra? Each element will have its own specific spectra. Their spectra will be the same because it is the same for a chemical family. Their spectra will be the opposite of each other. Their spectra will be different every time, no matter what elements.

Spectra is due to the release of a wavelength when an electron of an atom loses energy level. Due to the differences in atomic number and electrons in different elements, the interaction between the nucleus and electrons will cause the electrons in different elements to vary in their energy states and how their transition to other energy levels.
