    1 Blood flow decreases

2 A switch to anaerobic respiration

    3 Lactic acid is generated

    4 Change in pH

    5 Membrane pumps fail

    6 Cells cease to function

    Explanation:

The cerebral ischemic cascade begins with the consumption of the few energy reserves that are quickly depleted. Then, the anaerobic process of cellular respiration for the production of energy, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is developed. However, this process produces an unsatisfactory amount of ATP and the formation of a large amount of lactate, which will increase the number of hydrogen ions (H + ), and consequently reduce the pH of the nerve cell, thus initiating the injury process.

    Explanation:

Damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply. Ischemic stroke is one of three types of stroke. It's also referred to as brain ischemia and cerebral ischemia.

This type of stroke is caused by a blockage in an artery that supplies blood to the brain. The blockage reduces the blood flow and oxygen to the brain, leading to damage or death of brain cells.

Processes that leads to this starts from decreases in blood flow to the brain maybe as a result of blockage or other factors ... Then lack of oxygen causes Anaerobic respiration to start of which the end product is lactic acid and not Carbon dioxide. PH begins to increase and membrane pump begins to fail, causing cell to stop functioning
