    Leukocytes (white blood cells) are responsible for protecting us from invading foreign materials. There are 3 leukocyte groups: monocytes which absorb large particles, granulocytes which contain deadly chemicals for bacterias and viruses and lymphocytes which physically attack those bacterias and viruses.
