The body's most indispensable nutrient is water. Water or fluids make up about 72% of the body. It is the nutrient responsible for transporting delicate nutrients and excreting waste from several cellular processes that occur within the body on a regular basis. Man can actually survive without food for weeks, but only three days without water. Because fluid is necessary in cellular processes.
