Cyanobacteria are photosynthetic marine organisms. why would these organisms likely be found only in shallow ocean zones?

    Photosynthetic marine organisms like Cyanobacteria are likely found only in shallow ocean zones because the amount of light in deeper ocean zones would likely prevent photosynthesis which uses sunlight to synthesize food from carbon dioxide and water and produce or release oxygen as a by product.
