Water is not required for the fertilization.

    Explanation:

The plants can reproduce by the means of asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction. The pollen grains and egg cell fertilize with each other in the sexual reproduction.

The seedless vascular plants and non vascular plants required the means of dispersal for their fertilization. Their egg cell fuses with the pollen grains that are dispersed by animals or wind. Water is not required for the fertilization of the vascular plants.
