What is the mass number of an alpha particle? What is the identity of an alpha particle? What kind of charge does an alpha particle have?.

    You can say mass number of an alpha particle is '4' because it has 2 protons and 2 neutrons. Actually its like a Helium atom without electrons. So because it doesn't have any electrons but has 2 protons, it's charge is + 2.
