What form is most freshwater found in, and why is that not useable?

    Most fresh water is locked in glaciers at the south and north pole, only like 2 percent of the world's fresh water is useable. we can not go and destroy the glaciers to melt them for water, too inefficient and it would destroy habitats. it would also cause less of the sun's heat to be deflected, since white glaciers reflect light more than any other surfaces on earth, causing more environmental catastrophes.
