    Explanation; Aging is a normal process which is characterized by a progressive decline in the body's ability to restore homeostasis. Homeostasis is the ability of the body to maintain a stable internal environment; regulating hormones, water balance, body temperature; etc. This ensures body stability in response to fluctuations in the outside environments and weather changes. Aging reduces the efficiency of the heart and the circulatory system. This slows down the process of homeostasis.
