burning fossil fuels increase the amount of carbon dioxide in atmosphere we know carbon dioxide when reacts with water it forms carbonic acid whose pH is lower than water that's how burning fossil fuel can lead to a lower Ocean PH

When fossil fuels burns in the engine of vehicles and industries, carbondioxide gas is released which goes in the atmosphere. This increase occurs in the concentration of carbondioxide gas causes global warming because carbondioxode is a greenhouse gas that prevents the reflected sunlight from going into the atmosphere. This carbondioxide comes to the ocean and react with water forming carbonic acid which makes the water acidic and lowers the pH.
