Glucose is mobilized for ATP generation in muscle in response to epinephrine, which activates G α s. Gαs. Cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase is an enzyme that converts cyclic AMP (cAMP) into AMP. How would an inhibitor of cAMP phosphodiesterase affect glucose mobilization in muscle?

An inhibitor of cAMP phosphodiesterase affects glucose mobilization in muscle because G-alpha s (Gas) stimulates adenylate cyclase, which leads to the generation of cyclic AMP and this signal produced then leads to glucose mobilization. When cyclic AMP (cAMP) phosphodiesterase is inhibited, the cyclic AMP level would remain high even after the termination of epinephrine signal and glucose mobilization would continue in muscle.
