How can a person's genotype for a trait be determined from his or her phenotype for the trait?

dominant allele = A

recessive allele = a

if you know which allele is dominant you can look if the dominant trait is present. If the dominant trait is absent than the genotype is aa if the dominant trait is present the persons genotype is either AA or Aa
