    Yes, they are.

    Macromolecules are biomolecules which are needed by the body to function. In a cellular level, these are used by the cell to perform many of its processes such as transport, ATP generation and protein synthesis. There are four macromolecules which are carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Carbohydrates are obtained by eating for instance sugars or sugary-related goods. Proteins are gained through meat and lipids, oil and fish. Nucleic acids on the other hand are formed through proteins.
