Why would you not be able to prove that an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima using the scientific method?

As the atomic bomb is dropped ... the radiation was so intense that it just changed or say mutate the DNA ... so as a result even now some child take birth abnormally! So it seems like mutation!

but in spite, we can see the side effects and so can say there must be catastrophic disaster which is done by dropping of atomic bomb!
